The Green Machine

Ever wonder how you’re going to fit all of your recommended servings of fruits and veggies for the day?  Look no further…

This recipe was inspired by my friend Jacquie, who has her own blog Everything But The Bubbly.  Click here for her version.  I slightly modified the recipe by adding blueberries and avocado to the mix.  I call it the Green Machine because its one of the most nutrition dense things you can drink.  It contains fiber, antioxidants, potassium, healthy fat, and much more.  Plus, it tastes incredible.

For the green machine, you will need:

– 1 banana
– 1 avocado
– 1/2 cup pineapple
– 1/4 cup blueberries
– 2 cups fresh spinach
– 10 fresh basil leaves
– 1 cup coconut milk
– 4-5 ice cubes

Blend all ingredients thoroughly until you get a nice creamy texture.  Pour in a tall glass and enjoy!
