New Year, Fresh Start

Posted by in Travel

Happy (belated) New Year!  I know I’ve been MIA lately, but so many awesome things have been happening in my life that I haven’t been at my computer much.  I recently quit my job working for a large consulting company to work for a much smaller, local consulting company.  You know what this means?  NO MORE EXCESSIVE WORK TRAVEL!  Woohoo!  As a kitchen aficionado, this makes me SO happy.  I’ll be able to play in my kitchen much more frequently and be able to eat out a lot less.

After quitting my job, I actually had 5+ weeks off.  I spent the first couple of weeks in Brittany (France) hanging out with my French family, spent a few days in Atlanta to see the rest of my family and friends, and then spent the rest of the time in Seattle with my boyfriend.  I definitely traveled a lot, but it was so great to spend some quality time with the people that matter most in my life.

I didn’t take many pictures, but here are a few I wanted to share from the past few weeks:

I know I said this last year, but I really will be posting much more this year.  Now that I don’t live in a hotel Monday-Thursday every single week, I’ll actually have substantially more time to spend in the kitchen.  Stay tuned for some new recipes and please let me know what you’d like to see next on my blog!
